Seeds of Hope: A Heart of the Nation Workshop – at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery

Leicester Museum & Art Gallery

Wednesday 23 August 2023 Leicester Museum & Art Gallery 11am–3pm Free – drop in, no booking A relaxing workshop using seeds as a symbol of hope and a focus for creativity. Join Michelle Mother Hubbard for a relaxing, drop-in workshop at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery using seeds as a symbol of hope and the focus for our creativity. This workshop is inspired by Heart of the Nation, our touring exhibition sharing the stories of people who have migrated to Britain over the past 75 years to work for the NHS. You will use creative writing ideas and words of inspiration that will nourish your seeds and yourselves. You will plant and take away some seeds that will flourish and grow because of your belief in them! Fun, easy, relaxing, and plant based! Please note: as the seeds are very small, this activity isn’t suitable for under 3’s. Young children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. The seeds are for planting / creativity and not to be consumed. Drop in any time between 11am and 3pm – no booking needed. This event has been made possible by an award from People’s Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
